Fantasy League Help and Rules

Predictions

The fantasy league is a test of your ability to predict the outcome of fights. In order to play the game you need to follow these simple steps:

1. Log in (you will need to create an account first).
2. View an upcoming bout (click on "Bouts" in the main menu for a list of bouts) then click on an upcoming bout.
3. Choose what outcome you expect for the selected bout using the buttons under the chart.

That's it! Depending on how close your prediction is, you will earn between 0 and 10 points for your effort.

The number of points you could win will be displayed on the prediction buttons. Once the result for the bout is known, the buttons display the number of points awarded for each prediction type.

Points

When you make your prediction you choose from the following options:

• Knock-out Early Rounds
• Knock-out Mid Rounds
• Knock-out Late Rounds
• Unanimous Decision
• Split Decision
• Draw

Points are assigned according to the following rules:

• If you pick the correct fighter as the winner, you get 1 point.
• If you pick any of the knock-out options and the fighter you chose wins by knock-out, you get 1 extra point.
• If you pick either of the decision options and the fighter you chose wins by decision, you get 1 extra point.
• If you pick the exact outcome, you get 1 extra point for UD, 2 extra points for KO, or 3 extra point for SD predictions.
• If you pick a draw and the result is a draw, you get a total of 10 points.
• If the fight ends in a disqualification, no extra points will be awarded but you will earn 1 point for picking the correct winner.

For example, let's say Winky Wright and Bernard Hopkins are fighting. If Bernard Hopkins wins by split decision, points will be assigned as follows:

• Wright by any outcome = 0 points
• Hopkins Knock-out Early Rounds = 1 point
• Hopkins Knock-out Mid Rounds = 1 point
• Hopkins Knock-out Late Rounds = 1 point
• Hopkins Unanimous Decision = 2 points
• Hopkins Split Decision = 5 points
• Draw = 0 points

If Bernard Hopkins wins by mid round knock-out, points will be assigned as follows:

• Wright by any outcome = 0 points
• Hopkins Knock-out Early Rounds = 2 points
• Hopkins Knock-out Mid Rounds = 4 points
• Hopkins Knock-out Late Rounds = 2 points
• Hopkins Unanimous Decision = 1 point
• Hopkins Split Decision = 1 point
• Draw = 0 points

If the fight ends in a draw, points will be assigned as follows:

• Wright by any outcome = 0 points
• Hopkins by any outcome = 0 points
• Draw = 10 points

If Bernard Hopkins wins as a result of a disqualification, points will be assigned as follows:

• Wright by any outcome = 0 points
• Hopkins by any outcome = 1 point
• Draw = 0 points

Early, Middle, and Late Rounds

When choosing a knock-out you must also choose approximately when the knock-out will occur. The rounds that qualify for "early", "middle", or "late" vary depending on the length of the bout. Refer to the following table for clarification:

Teams will be ranked according to their performance in the following categories:

1. Most Total Points
2. Fewest Total Predictions Made
3. Most Correct Predictions
4. Most "Against The Crowd" Points
5. Fewest "Against The Crowd" Predictions Made
6. Most Correct "Against The Crowd" Predictions
